Bingham Joins Dennis Bernard, Inc.

Lisa Bingham has joined Dennis Bernard, Inc. as an educator. After meeting company President Dennis Bernard Campanaro at a trade show, Bingham stayed in touch and is now on the staff of a Texas salon. Bingham assists Joe Santy, Dennis Bernard, Inc. vice president of education at national trade shows. “This rising star’s future with our company looks very bright. Lisa exemplifies the type of educator we want onboard at DBI,” says Campanaro.

Joico Joins Hometown Heroes Celebration

Joico joined country music star Laura Bryna at Los Angeles’ House of Blues for a concert honoring “hometown heroes,” inspired by Bryna’s song. The concert honored the five winners of Bryna’s contest recognizing individuals for helping others in their communities.The honorees received a Joico K-Pak gift bag and styling services from educator Adrianna de los Reyes. She also styled the hair of five members of the U.S. Air National Guard and provided Bryna with her onstage style using products from Joico’s Design Collection.

Markhams Raise $1Million

Jim and Cheryl Markham, product innovators and founders of Pureology, were honored by the City of Hope with the 2009 Spirit of Life Award. The gala, a masquerade ball, was held July 20 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas during Cosmoprof North America. The event was attended by industry leaders including styling icons Kim Vo, Sonya and Christopher Dove, Dean Banowetz, Damien Carney, Sue Pemberton, Robert Lobetta and Phillip Wilson. Actress Debi Mazar was mistress of ceremonies. The Markham’s yearlong fund raising campaign, “Create Beauty, Unmask Hope,” raised $1.1 million for research on behalf of ovarian cancer.
