Design Matters

Shortly after shooting the imagery for America’s Beauty Show at McCormick Place in Chicago, the inspired Aquage team began a national six-city tour to officially launch and promote its new line, Biomega. Styles were strongly influenced by the architecture and art in each city, while the wardrobe was inspired by the Biomega products. Straying from Aquage’s signature blue shade, VP of Creative Luis Alvarez chose colorful, vintage Thierry Mugler suits to complement the locations and hair designs.

Exposed

When color meets light, the effects are varied and dimensional. Exposed, the new spring/summer 2011 trend collection from Farouk Systems, does just that. Global Artistic Board members Rocky Vitelli and Leonel Rodriguez combined different tones and levels of color with lighting effects on predominantly blonde, red and brunette shades. Styling variations featuring texture, deep retro waves and updos reflect the versatility of color placement and celebrate Farouk Systems' 25th anniversary of its ammonia-free hair coloring systems.

Red Carpet Ready

With the entertainment awards season upon us, Cosmetologists Chicago and America’s Beauty Show has released its newest trend collection of styles that would add glamour to any red carpet. The CC Red Carpet Collection recalls romantic old Hollywood with soft curls and sensuous waves that can be adapted to any hair length.
