This fall, stylists will have the rare opportunity to train with legendary beauty industry rockstar Edward Tricomi and precision haircutting authority Laara Raynier, who are collaborating for the first time ever to present a groundbreaking “Train with the Masters” workshop. Set for September 19, 2022 at the L'Oréal Professionnel flagship Warren Tricomi Salon at The Plaza Hotel in New York City, the workshop will feature a new form of hands-on education on live models, with innovative cutting and styling classes. Tricomi and Raynier will share the skills that can help double a stylist's income. Stylists can attend either in person or virtually.
Meet the Masters
Co-founder of the Warren Tricomi Salon Group, Edward Tricomi is globally celebrated for his masterful cutting and styling. He is known for his 20-minute “Edward Scissorhands” cutting technique, a remarkable combination of speed and precision. His work has appeared on NYFW runways and in magazines including Vogue and Allure, and he has styled A-listers including George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, and Mick Jagger. Learning Tricomi’s one-of-a-kind technique empowers stylists with new skills to significantly boost their income.
A protégé of former Sassoon Art Director Roger Thompson, Mastercutter Academy founder Laara Raynier brings her vast knowledge and expertise to offer an elite training experience. Raynier is one of the world’s most in-demand haircutting educators, with classes ranked #1 on Google globally for private haircutting classes, workshops, and haircutting education. With her dynamic positive energy and keen eye, Raynier uses her gifted teaching technique to transform students as they create their best work.
Together, Tricomi and Raynier infuse their teaching with fun, passion, and energy. Their individual, unique approaches complement each other to provide excellence in hands-on education.
“I’m like the Rolling Stones," Tricomi explains. "They have an incredible groove with a lot of heart and soul. That’s what my cutting is about. Laara is more structured like The Beatles, with a beginning, middle, end, and terrific harmonies. When you skillfully mix the techniques, it’s a game-changer."
Raynier adds that the duo's separate approaches gives stylists options.
"The workshops will motivate and inspire stylists and give them a chance to see the different ways you can go about creating a look," Raynier says. "You’ll see how to do the most amazing styling, not just the haircut, and it adds this final dimension.”
