Glazed Ombre Nails Revealed at This Year's Oscars

Celebrity nail artist & OPI Global Ambassador Zola Ganzorigt created a glazed, ombre manicure for red carpet host, Vanessa Hudgens. The long, pointed nail stood out against Vanessa’s all black Vera Wang gown. 

“Tonight was a big night for Vanessa — not only was she hosting the red carpet but she also had another reveal! To keep it elegant and classic, I went with some of my go-to OPI shades “Bare My Soul”, “Funny Bunny”, and “Alpine Snow,” to create a glazed ombre nail. These shades are all so timeless and chic for manicures, and by layering them together we were able to turn the classic manicure into one that was also modern and eye catching.”

Vanessa Hudgens Get the Look

1. Begin by prepping the nails and applying one coat of OPI GelColor Stay Classic Base Coat. For the nail lacquer version, use OPI Natural Nail Base Coat.
2. Next, apply two coats of OPI GelColor in “Bare My Soul” for the base. For the nail lacquer version, use OPI Nail Lacquer in “Bare My Soul.”
3. To create the ombre tip start by applying one coat of OPI GelColor in “Alpine Snow." For the nail lacquer version, use OPI Nail Lacquer in “Alpine Snow.” 
4. Next, layer Alpine Snow with one coat of OPI GelColor in “Funny Bunny.” For the nail lacquer version, use OPI Nail Lacquer in “Funny Bunny.” 
5. Rub OPI Chrome Effects in “Tin Man Can” onto the nails. For the nail lacquer version, use OPI Nail Lacquer in “Glazed N’ Amused” 
6. Finish the look with OPI GelColor Stay Shiny Top Coat. For the nail lacquer version, use OPI Top Coat.
