Recent grads from the Aveda Institute Las Vegas are salon-ready and prove it with final portfolios, which are part of the school’s artistic learning experience. Inspired by the season’s continuing love-affair with red, several students chose to showcase it in classic and playful interpretations. Says Tiffany Kendall, the school’s Artistic Director for Education, “Without adding hair color and make-up, the looks wouldn’t be complete. Not to mention, students can show they have has mastered the biggest dollar-producer in salons—hair color.” Here is recent grad Sarinya Permthamsin’s auburn look.
Pre-Lightening: 1 oz. Aveda Enlightener + 1 oz. Shampure + 1 oz. 20-volume Color Catalyst. Apply all over and process 40 minutes or until hair is a Level-7 orange. Rinse.
New Base: Aveda Full Spectrum permanent color 40g 6N + 6g OR + 3g BB + 40 ml. 20-volume developer. Apply rootsto- ends and process for 30 minutes.
