FASHION WEEK: How To Get the Ombre Nails Seen at Nicole Miller The nail look created at Nicole Miller's Spring/Summer '14 New York Mercedes Benz Fashion Week caught the eye of MANY beauty editors.

The "skinny" on the collection Nicole Miller debuted was that it was inspired by the beauty of Versailles--the gardens, mirrors, mazes and chandeliers. To complete the look, the designers turned to Katie Jane Hughes, Global Colour Ambassador for Butter London.

Using a little bit of The Black Night laquer at the tip of the nail, apply it in a upward motion on top of The 444, a glittery gold, and, before it's dry, touch the line where the two meet, giving it a beautiful ombre.

"You get a little bit on your finger but just dip it in polish remover when you're done and it comes right off," Hughes says. "It's very opulent, and vintage inspired with a lot of texture. It's very beautiful and sort of Old English," she says.

As for how to best remove the textured polish? "I always soak a cotton pad in acetone, hold it on the nail for 10 seconds, and pull down," Hughes says. Or, she uses Scrubbers, a new 2-in-1 polish remover and nail prep from Butter London.
