How-To: Long-Hair Updo with Braided Base
Amy Whitaker

Stylists are nothing if not inventive and clever. Amy Whitaker of Ergun Tercan European Salon in Denver, Colorado, submitted a photo and description of her problem-solving work to modernsalon.com.

Whitaker's client, who had very long, thick hair, requested a curly updo with small, tight curls for an event. Whitaker knew it would be hard to do all-over curls on the copious amounts of hair and have it look like anything less than a pillow on her client's head.
