Inspired Purple Color Melt

Christina Dossola (@manecoloraddiction) of Encinitas, CA, says, "I'm so lucky to have a client that is willing to let my artistic passion show through in her hair! Her previous color was a pink, peach, lavender combination. I told her I had seen this picture on pinterest and felt it would make a beautiful inspiration for her hair."

Here she shares the HOW TO on her natural level 7 client:

Formula A: Igora Vario Blonde with 30 volume and Olaplex

Formula B: Pravana Vivids: Violet

Formula C: Pravana Vivids: Mystical Mint, Violet, and Wild Orchid

Formula D: Kenra Color Creatives: Teal

Formula E: Pravana vivids: Wild Orchid, Pink and Magenta

Step 1: Apply Formula A to the regrowth and parts of the previously colored hair to give as much of a blank slate as possible. "Since we were focusing on doing more purple I didn't feel the need to pull out any leftover purple in the mid-shaft of her hair." Once lifted to desired blonde, rinse and apply Olaplex #2 and shampoo. Dry the hair.

Step 2: Apply Formula B to roots. Section out pieces below the part line and apply Formula D in foils.

Step 3: Apply Formula C in a color melting technique to the mid-shaft of her hair.

Step 4: Apply Formula E in a color melting technique to her ends.

Step 5: Process for 25 minutes then rinse, shampoo and condition.
