Sue Soussain (@Colourmesue) of Salon B, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, believes in customizing every color design and cut on her clientele. "I take time for my consultation and really try to listen to my clients. I also try to be honest about color, haircut, maintenance and the quality of the hair." For this first time client, Soussain had to adjust the previous color, adding highlights in a more classic and tasteful placement.

Here she shares the HOW TO:

STEP 1: Using Wella Blondor 60cc with 30 vol 1:1.5 and Olaplex no. 1, place weaved highlights in foil in a deep V, keeping off root. Continue in a horseshoe parting.

STEP 2: Process for 45 minutes and then with heat for an additional 15 minutes, lifting to a warm level 8. Rinse.

STEP 3
: Tone using Wella Color Touch. To the roots: 20cc 5/1 with 10 cc 7/78 and 2cc 2/8 with 6 vol 1:2. On the lengths: 25cc 8/81, 10cc 9/16 , 5cc7/89 with 2cc 0/68 1:2. Make sure to blend the color between the root and length for a soft fade. (Add Olaplex to each formula).

STEP 4: Process for 30 minutes. Rinse and apply Olaplex no 2 for 20 minutes. Shampoo and dry.
