Lana of Shear Bliss Salon in NYC (@shearblissnyc) located in heart of Manhattan says her client always wanted to go blonde. She tried out various salons and colored her hair at home for over 5 years. Every time she visited a salon she experienced failure and disappointment.
When she arrived to Shear Bliss, (her last attempt,) a box blonde left her hair damaged. After learning more about the hair history, Lana decided to dive in. Here she shares the details for this correction, while helping to meet the color goal:
Step 1: Using a teasing/balayage technique, apply Schwarzkopf "Blondme "9 lift bleach with 20 volume mixing ratio 1:2. "Adding and using B3 in the lightener helped to protect the hair and give us that extra boost to achieve a lighter level without causing any damage."
Step 2: Process for about 45 minutes, lifting hair to level 9-10. Rinse and shampoo hair with purple Shimmer Lights Shampoo. Let the shampoo sit for 7 minutes and then rinse. Towel dry.
Step 3: Tone with Wella Color Touch. 10.81 + 8.81 + 1.9 % developer( mixing ratio 1:2) on regrowth and mid shaft. On the ends apply 10.81+ 1.9% developer. Add B3 to the toner.
Step 4: Process for15 minutes. Rinse. Apply the B3 Treatment to bring back elasticity and shine to the hair.
"The end result was fantastic. Hair came out a beautiful and healthy blonde."
