Lauren Pettinelli (@breakingbronde), co-owner of Monroe on Mane in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, says, "This is the second time I got to get my hands in my guest Marissa's hair. She loves the natural balayage blend so naturally that's what we went with. On her first visit we were working on breaking some old color banding. This time our goal was to be less brassy which we were able to achieve."

Here Pettinelli shares the details for this makeover:

Step 1: Using Oligo Backlight Clay Lightener mixed with 40 volume and a cap full of Higher and Higher, place throughout the hair in a balayage application.

Step 2: Process for 40 minutes under a heat lamp. Shampoo with Oligo Blue Shampoo.

Step 3: First toner: Schwarzkopf 9,5-22 .22 Blue additive to break some of the orange tones.

Step 4: Tone for a second time using Rusk 7.01.
