There’s nothing like a great collaboration, especially when there’s a lot of work to be done. The CosmoProf Artistic Team comprises creative and talented artists, and when they get a chance to divide and conquer they do it well. MODERN gave them that opportunity with two models needing a correction and looking for a fashionable cut and color.

“We are real people with real clients. It’s important to take the time to do things correctly,” says CosmoProf Artistic Team member Jacob Khan. “You must think about today, yes, but think about tomorrow and next week.”

Khan, along with the other team members Larisa Love, Phil Ring, Christina Kreitel and Lo Wheeler came to the Water Street Studio in NYC to transform two models who best reflect real situations.

“Both models needed serious color correction,” Love says. “It made us all go back to the foundations. Remember the basics and that the color wheel is our friend.”

For this session the artists worked in two groups: Love and Ring for the dark-haired model and Kreitel and Khan for the blonde. Wheeler was able to help with both teams and served as the finishing artist for all the looks seen on these pages.
