Journey to Mastery, an educational program by Oribe that features three chapters of intensive sessions designed to create a growth path for stylists to perfect their artistry. The courses contain a blend of core technical skills, editorial inspiration and innovative techniques meant to challenge and awaken the hairdresser.

Journey to Mastery is split into three sections:
THE ESSENTIALS:
Foundations: Styled on their own or used as base for an updo, these techniques are crucial to all aspects of hairdressing. This comprehensive two-day session will guide you through the core foundations essential to both classic and modern hairdressing.
Setting: Master the irons and understand the art of setting in this intensive workshop, designed to explore a wide range of techniques from effortless waves to classic sets.
Braiding: This intensive session conceived by Global Ambassador James Pecis features his favored approach to braiding. This two-day workshop covers the essential to advanced techniques for fast and flawless execution.
Weft Extensions: Learn a versatile approach to incorporating weft extensions into a variety of wearable looks. Stylists will explore the art of adding wefts to existing hair, creating dramatic changes for the salon, special occasions or editorial styling. These techniques relate to all types of extension applications.
RUNWAY TO SALON:
Retro Elegance: A modern take on classic styling, this session explores timeless, sophisticated upstyles designed for formal occasions. Using a comprehensive set of advanced techniques, stylists will create two red carpet-worthy looks, ideal for the client who wants to arrive looking poised and confident.
Effortless Chic: This session showcases a series of highly versatile, informal upstyles. Once mastered, these youthful looks can be swiftly transitioned, making them a perfect fit for clients with an active lifestyle who prefer to keep it casual.
Androgyny: An edgier approach to formal styling, these modern looks are perfect for the fashionable, downtown client gearing up for a night out on the town.
EDITORIAL OBSESSIONS:
Editorial Obsessions by James Pecis: Specially crafted by Pecis, this intimate two-day intensive workshop by Oribe’s Global Ambassador features an exploration of the creative process behind conceptualizing a photo shoot and transitioning looks on set. Ideal for stylists interested in session work, this class includes demonstrations by Pecis, and a hands-on workshop with live models and a photoshoot. Stylists will leave with professional images to add to their portfolio.
Tailored Wigs: An introduction to the art of tailoring wigs and pieces. Stylists will master how to prepare, cut and tailor faux bangs and transform a wig into a modern look all while achieving natural, believable results.
Runway Report: An in-depth review of the latest Fashion Week trends fresh off the international runways. Stylists will explore, analyze and replicate the season's most buzz-worthy creations with the hep of the Oribe editorial team.
