Before and after using GrandeBROW Brow Enhancing Serum for three months.

“There are a variety of reasons our brows become less than lush as we age, from hormonal changes and a poor diet, to the inevitable results of aging,” Alicia Grande, Founder and CEO of Grande Cosmetics, says. “After I had my first son, I noticed my brows and lashes falling out more often than usual - a postpartum result that many women deal with.”

Grande wanted to solve the problem and got busy.

Acknowledging that most women take care to wax, pluck, or thread brows into shape, Grande realized that a truly perfect brow starts with taking care of the brow hairs that exist and encouraging sparse areas to fill-in. She met with top chemists and crafted a great solution to the thinning brow, resulting in GrandeBROW Brow Enhancing Serum. “It is an ophthalmologist-approved beauty serum that fortifies, nurtures and conditions brows to promote a healthy-looking appearance and restore brows to their former youthful thickness,” Grande says. Exclusively designed with the 4-month brow cycle in mind, Grande adds, “The serum contains vasodilator ingredients to promote brow fullness, such as Vitamin E, to help to activate dormant follicles. Packed with amino acids, hyaluronic acid, and glycosaminoglycans, this potent blend of ingredients work synergistically to promote fuller, bolder-looking brows in just 6-8 weeks, with full results in 4 months.”

When asked about shape, Grande says to remember, that brows frame the face and should be proportional to the features.

To find the ideal shape for your client, Grande suggests the following:

  1. Vertically line a makeup brush against your client’s nose to meet the inner corner of the eye. This is where the brow should begin.
  2. Next, line the end of the brush on an angle from the nostril to meet the outer corner of the eye. This point shows you exactly where the brow should end.
  3. Finally, the highest part of the arch should line up with the edge of the iris.

When working with a client, Grande says that it is all about communication. “After a brow service, set a plan with your client on the best steps to take to achieve their desired brow goals. Whether going for the boy-brow look or polished and primped, explain how they can partner the serum with the brow service and show them exactly where they should be applying the serum to reach their desired result.” Grande emphasizes that you should remind your client that she is in charge of that arch and fullness when using the product at home. “Whether that ideal shape is thick, thin, straight or arched, your client is ultimately in control between salon visits. She can apply the serum to the entire brow to condition existing hairs or spot-treat bare areas that both of you would like to enhance or improve.”
