Whittemore House Salon Offers Hair Painting ProgramSeveral times a year Victoria Hunter and Larry Raspanti, former Bumble & bumble creative directors and pioneers of the hair painting method, host a two-day seminar at their salon, Whittemore House in New York’s West Village.

Whittemore House Salon Offers Hair Painting ProgramThe exclusive Whittemore House Hair Painting Program allows for a maximum of nine students to receive an individualized comprehensive introduction to this modern technique of hair coloring. Each day starts with multiple demonstrations utilizing customized techniques on models with a variety of hair types and textures. After the demonstrations, Hunter and Raspanti oversee the class during a hands-on phase based on each student’s level of experience. Participants work on two models per day under the tailored guidance of Hunter and Raspanti. Models, tools, materials necessary to practice and achieve the hair painting technique are provided on site.

The next class will be held on Sunday and Monday October 26-27 at Whittemore House Salon on 45 Grove Street in NYC from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both days. The class fee is $3,000 per person and can be split into more than one payment. Classes for 2015 will be announced in soon.

MODERN and the industry mourns the loss of Gino Trunzo who died yesterday in Mexico of a heart attack. Trunzo made a name for himself in the nail world as both a manicurist and essie’s Assistant Vice President and was named assistant vice president of business development for Redken and Pureology earlier this year.
