As the exclusive hair sponsor for Nolcha shows during NYFW Fall/Winter 2018, prestige hair and beauty brand, ECRU New York created a flower crown hairstyle to accessorize Aranyani’s Fall/Winter 2018 Collection on the runway.

Founder Aresh Mirpuri drew inspiration from nature for the Aranyani Fall/Winter 2018 collection.

"The name Aranyani means the queen of the forest, and our collection is inspired by a beautiful region in India called Coorg where they usually fight to preserve nature," Mirpuri says. "Along with the ECRU New York creative team, we came up with a braided flower crown hairstyle to accessorize the unveiling of the Fall/Winter 2018 collection on the runway. The idea is that this look is symbolic of women warriors and their love for nature. The flower crown and the braiding gave the effect of the warrior woman, showcasing open hair, which is typical of the region.”

To recreate this look, hair should be parted in the middle at the front and pinned sideways to the back, showing loose curls in the front. The hair should be met in the middle at the back with a thick braid and fall down the back in loose curls. Add a flower crown, and secure with pins. This hairstyle was created using ECRU New York’s prestige, curated products, including Dry Texture Spray, Defining Paste, Sunlight Finishing Spray Max and Sunlight Styling Spray.

Intrinsically anchored in the world of fashion, ECRU New York continues to collaborate with emerging designers during NYFW to create exclusive backstage hairstyles for the runway every season. ECRU New York products are available for purchase on and select salons in the U.S. and globally.
