Ryan and DeAnnalyn Teal are award winning stylists, educators and owners of Portland, Oregon’s Teal Salon. They love all things over the top—even “frizz,” a word they aren’t afraid to use. Clever techniques, like wrapping the hair around hairpins and tapping with a flat iron result in a look that is somewhat flat on top with an “explosion of frizz” through the length. Call it texture, if you prefer, but the effect is stunning by any name.
