The MODERN SALON Independent Boot Camp is where independents come to be together.
The event was inspired by a comprehensive research study into the independent stylist, in which thousands of independent beauty professionals told us what they need to be successful.
MODERN saw that solo artists are motivated and business-minded, and they seek out opportunities to engage in community, make connections and discover new tools, strategies and systems to improve their business and their lives. And Boot Camp was born.
At the MODERN SALON Independent Boot Camp, independent hair stylists, salon professionals, booth renters, chair renters, mobile stylists or those who might be thinking about leaving a commission-based salon to go independent for the first time, gather to go beyond basic business training to receive valuable education that will benefit them no matter where or how they work.
Our debut Boot Camp in Los Angeles featured education on social media, on pricing, on financial literacy, on marketing and branding, along with panels of industry experts who discussed the face of business in the future, mental health, and setting healthy boundaries.
Here is a slideshow from our second Boot Camp event, held in Tampa, FL on April 25. Next, Boot Camp travels to Dallas in Fall 2022!
