With the bob going top-round and end-layered, grayday,
winter-friendly shades that add inner light
accent movement best. "Rich reds, mochas and
cooler violet browns are ideal base shades," says
Pon Saradeth, owner of Pon International in Anaheim Hills, California,
"while golden or copper tones add extra warmth, placed
over the top." His approach:
Formulas:

Base: 5ml Goldwell Colorance Plus 6NN, 5ml 7G, 20ml 5BG with
60ml Intensive Developer Lotion.

Highlights: One scoop of Goldwell Oxycur Platin Ultra Lightener
with 20ml 20-volume developer.

Toner: Colorance 10ml 8G, 10ml 9GB, 5ml G Mix (gold concentrate)
and 5ml Clear with 60mg Demi Developer Lotion.
Steps to Success:

Apply the base color with a bottle, from base to ends. Process at
room temperature for 25 minutes; shampoo, rinse and dry about
80 percent.

Add woven highlights, using horizontal placement in the top and
crown, and a medium weave with vertical placement at the sides.
Leave out the back. Brush-on lightener base to ends, process 35
minutes or until golden stage is reached, then rinse and towel dry.

Apply the toner from roots to ends, process for 20 minutes at room
temperature.
