Ani Gafafyan (@aniatmysalon) a master colorist at Studio Kay Salon in Glendale, California, met with this first time client who wanted to go blonder. "She had one inch of regrowth, brown midshaft and light ends." For Gafafyan, it was a fun opportunity!

Here the artist offers the HOW TO:

Step 1: Blend Schwarzkopf Igora lightener with 30 vl peroxide with a cap full of a bond builder.

Step 2:  Section the hair in to 5 sections and highlight the hair starting from the back working up the head. When you get to the top check the bottom to see if its ready to be rinsed.

Step 3: When you reach the desired level of blonde, in this case pale blonde, shampoo twice to thoroughly removed the bleach. Towel dry the hair.

Step 4: Tone using Wella T18 with 20 volume developer on the roots first for 10 minutes.

Step 5: Then pull through to the ends for an additional 5 minutes.

Step 6: Shampoo the hair using LCK Haircare "Marilyn Brightening Shampoo" allowing to process for 3 minutes. Treat the hair with Monroe Miracle Mask from LCK Haircare.
