We fell in love with this "blue steel" finish by Jeanette Herrera (@jeanette.Herrera) of Hugo Salon in Kensigton, MD and asked for the formula.
Here she shares on her client with hair previously lifted from a natural level 5 to an ombré with level 8 ends:
Formula A: 1 oz. Wella Freelights + 1.5 oz. Freelights 30 Volume Developer
Formula B: 1/2 oz. Color Touch 10/16 + 1 oz. Emulsion
Formula C: 1 oz. Koleston Perfect Innosense 10/88 + 5" of KP 2/0 + 5" of KP 0/11 + 1-1.4 oz. CT Emulsion ( if needed you may add 5” of KP 0/88 for more blue intensity)
Step 1: Re-lighten the ombré to a level 9 by applying Formula A and processing for about 7 minutes under a heat lamp (watched carefully). Follow with an additional 13 minutes without heat.
Step 2: Rinse and fill by applying Formula B on wet hair. Process for 20 minutes.
Step 3: Rinse and dry completely. Color with Formula C and process for 15 minutes or less (watch carefully).
