Nasha Sanchez (@HairbyNasha), an artist at Vivian's Unisex in Miami, Fl, says working as a stylist has helped her come out of her shell. "I feel accomplished when I get through a difficult color project and see how the clients just can't take their hands off of their hair. I am driven to learn more and be a better hairstylist. It's what I love to do. Color + Hair = My Passion."
For this specific client, (who came all the way from Passaic, New Jersey), Sanchez says she was a level 5 when she decided that she wanted to go platinum blonde. "Her previous hairstylist told her she wouldn't be able to lift anymore than the golden blonde she came in with. I was definitely up for the challenge."
Here Sanchez shares what she did to meet her client's request:
Formula A: Recamier Saloon In Bleach with 40 vol. + Olaplex 1
Formula B: Recamier Saloon In Bleach with 30 vol. + Olaplex 1
Formula C: T18 Wella Color Charm Toner with 10 vol.
STEP 1: Apply Formula A starting from the midshaft through the ends. Process for 30 minutes.
STEP 2: Apply Formula B starting from the scalp to the midshaft and running it through the ends. Make sure the hair is very well saturated. Process for another 20-30 minutes with a cap.
STEP 3: Rinse the hair thoroughly. Then apply Formula C from the scalp through the ends. This will eliminate any of the unwanted yellow tones. Process for 15 minutes.
STEP 4: Rinse the hair and apply Olaplex 2. Process with a cap for 20 minutes. Rinse and shampoo.
