COLOR - STEP 4: Finally, apply Formula D to the highlighted areas. Process and treat with Color Vibrancy Post-Color Treatment (no need to shampoo).
Face definition continues to be a focus of makeup trends, and the contouring technique has started to evolve into strobing, which focuses on illuminating the face. This new way of sculpting the face fits better with consumer demand for natural and dewy looks, and helps boost illuminating, highlighting, and concealing claims within the makeup and skincare categories.
Traditionally a makeup concept, strobing and contouring have gone beyond the face. Lights and shadows can be played up on any surface to reveal its true beauty. We saw how contouring moved from the red carpets to our homes. And now, the time has come for strobing to do the same and move into new territory such as Hair Strobing.
Kadus Strobing composes new hair-coloring techniques that highlight a person’s best features from face to hair through to the total look.
In Expressive Strobing, the effect is mainly placed at the neck and shoulder level, with zigzag patterns that create asymmetry and a softer transition between the blonde and copper areas.
STEP 1: Apply Formula B on the mid-lengths and ends and Formula C at the root. Process and treat with Color Vibrancy Shampoo and Post-Color Treatment.
STEP 2: Section the hair by parting the hair into 4 quadrants. At the back take the 2 corners on either side of the nape and section off the rest. In the front, part from the temple to the ear and section off the top (see picture).
STEP 3: Starting at the nape and working your way up, take slices applying Formula A with a zigzag application down the hair strand to both sections (corners). This will create a highlighted area around the neck and shoulder. Follow the same technique on the front sides starting at the chin area working your way down towards the ends. Process and treat with Visible Repair Shampoo and In-Salon Treatment. You can use an open foil to separate the hair.
STEP 4: Finally, apply Formula D to the highlighted areas. Process and treat with Color Vibrancy Post-Color Treatment (no need to shampoo).
STEP 1: On damp hair, apply Dramatize It Volumizing Mousse and blow dry the hair with a round brush to create shine and volume.
STEP 2: Use a large curling iron to create waves. Leave out the ends.
STEP 3: On the left side, create a soft fishtail braid. Loosen the roots area to achieve a soft transition between the braid and the rest of the hair. On the right side of the nape, create a very thin fishtail braid. For both braids, use back-combing to fix the ends.
STEP 4: Comb through with a large comb to open the waves. Style the hair with your fingers into the desired look, using Extra Lock X-Strong Hairspray.
