Carlee Ann (@hairbycarleeann) of Carson & Co., Denver, Colorado (@carsonandcosalon) says "This particular correction was definitely one of the toughest I had done because of the harsh contrast. She wanted her hair done before her brothers wedding. Having completely natural hair starting out she wanted a subtle balayage."
The client went to a different salon and was unhappy with the results. Fortunately Carlee Ann was able to fit her in the day before the wedding. Here she shares the details for the correction:
Step 1: Balayage in “V” shapes using Magic Lightener Clay lightener.
Step 2: Paint the center of the “V’s” with Davines Mask color 8,1 and 6,0 with 5vol to eliminate the blocking effect.
Step 3: Keep sections thin to make sure no harsh lines shine through. Process and rinse.
Step 4: Tone with Redken Shades EQ 9p and 7p for a quick 2 minutes.
"This was about a 4 hour correction and she looked beautiful at her brothers wedding and has been a loyal client since!"
