Makeover: Gentle Melting For A Big Upgrade

by Maggie Mulhern | August 12, 2019

Payal Patel (@HairByPayal), of Devine Designs Salon and Spa, Brandon, Florida, says her new client, a college student, was ready for a fresh but low maintenance look. Here Patel shares the details for the lovely new, and tasteful shade, using an interesting melting technique to lighten the hair gradually from roots to ends:

Step 1: To the root, apply L'Oréal Professionnel Majirel 5.64 blended with 20 volume.

Step 2: To the midshaft, apply Majirel 6.64 with 30 volume.

Step 3: Melt through, applying Majirel 8.34 with 40 volume to the ends.

Step 4: Process according to manufacturers instructions, shampoo and condition the hair.
