“THIS CLIENT HAS VERY BRASSY ENDS WITH PERMANENT ROOT COLOR BUT WAS NOT WILLING TO CUT HER HAIR SHORTER,” SUE TYRRELL (@SUETYRRELLSTYLIST) OF GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS, SAYS ABOUT HER NEW CLIENT. TO CREATE A SOFT BLEND AND LOWER MAINTENANCE COLOR, TYRRELL USED TEASED AND WEAVED HIGHLIGHTS PLACED IN DIAGONAL SECTIONS.

HERE TYRRELL SHARES THE DETAILS FOR THE MAKEOVER:

STEP 1: IN FOILS, APPLY REDKEN FLASH LIFT AND 10 VOLUME AT THE BACK, BUILDING TO 20 VOLUME AS YOU WORK UP THE HEAD (PH BONDER ADDED TO BOTH FORMULAS). COLOR PLACED IN THICK DIAGONAL WEAVES, WHICH HAVE BEEN TEASED AT THE ROOT.

STEP 2:  BETWEEN FOILS PAINT WITH REDKEN SHADES EQ 8GI +8N + 8C.  PROCESS FOR 25 MINUTES.

STEP 3: SHADOW ROOT USING REDKEN SHADES EQ GLOSS 9NA+8C+8N. PROCESS ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER’S INSTRUCTIONS. SHAMPOO AND CONDITION THE HAIR.

STEP 4: GLOSS WITH REDKEN SHADES EQ GLOSS CLEAR +9V +9GI FOR 15 MINUTES.
