Celebrity colorist and owner of his eponymous salon in NYC, Julien Farel, gives our model a face-flattering cut complete with a heavy fringe.
Before.
Begin the cut in the back. Comb down the hair from the nape
and chip into the ends without projection.
Continue up the crown in one-inch horizontal sections, cutting
to the guide.
Blend forward in two-inch horizontal sections directed slightly
forward.
Take Mohawk sections from the top and direct forward slightly.
Cut to the desired length.
Using this as a guide, comb forward and create a long, sideswept
fringe.
Blend top, sides and front by directing sections forward and
point-cut to the guide to create a face frame.
Now pull all hair up to the crown and point-cut into the ends,
cutting to blend.
Blow dry over a round brush, wrapping back and away from the
face.
Place in Velcro rollers to set the shape.
Finish with a shine and setting spray.
