Niki Butler (@Nikthehairchik) of Evolution Salon, Hutchinson, Kansas, a specialist in fashion color and balayage, is an educator for Joico and a member of the Unicorn Tribe. "My niece had virgin hair till we did the rainbow hair. She faded out rainbow hair from about a month ago." Butler did not want to bleach the hair again so decided instead to color shift her hair.

Here Butler shares the details:

Joico True Blue at the root

Joico Kelly Green melted from the root

Joico Kelly green mixed with one part Clear and a drop of Yellow for the shine line

Joico True Blue at the ends

Step 1:  Apply Joico Intensity True Blue on the root. "With the previous pink it turned a purplish color."

Step 2: Melt Joico Kelly Green down the mids.

Step 3: Apply Kelly Green diluted with Clear and a drop of Yellow to create a shine line along the top sections. Follow with Kelly Green and the True Blue through the ends.

Step 4: Process for 20 minutes and then rinse with COLD water.
