MAKEOVER: Faded and Brassy to Burgundy Rose

Maggie Mulhern | September 15, 2017 | 10:15 AM

"This clients hair had been previously lightened in order to create a brighter canvas for fashion color," says Katelyn Perkins (@katelynpstyle) of Katelyn P Style, a private studio located in Sherman Oaks, CA. "After her mermaid hair faded out, and she was about to venture back to school, we needed to give her something that would be more professional for her teaching job."

Here Perkins shares the details for the new look:

Step 1: Apply Redken Flash Lift with 30 volume and Redken PH Bonder to lift her to a level 8 orange/yellow.

Step 2: Process at room temperature for 45 minutes. Rinse, Ph Bonder Pt 2, shampoo and condition. Dry completely.

Step 3: Fill in the pre-lightened hair with Redken Shades EQ Cream: 07RR+ 06V equal parts, 10 volume. Process for 30 minutes.

Step 4: Glaze with Redken Shades EQ 05RV Sangria and process for 10 minutes.
