Two time honoree for Modern Salon’s Excellence in Education, Bellus Academy, and their partner in success, P&G Salon Professionals (PGSP), joined forces for an inspiring evening event at Bellus on Feb. 13.
MODERN SALON Media Editorial Director Michele Musgrove today announced the 2011 “Excellence in Education” finalists in its annual program recognizing leadership and best practices among cosmetology schools. MODERN SALON Publisher Steve Reiss and First Chair Editor Alison Shipley will announce the top honorees in each class and the Overall Honoree for each category during a special presentation at the AACS (American Association of Cosmetology Schools) annual convention in Phoenix on Saturday, November 5th. Lynelle Lynch’s foray into the professional beauty arena was by chance. In fact, after college, her passion for fashion led her to a 15 career with Saks Fifth Avenue where she served as general manager for multiple stores across Southern California. After marrying her husband, who among his 26 business owned three beauty schools, Lynch found herself suddenly taking over Bellus Academy, when the school’s manager of 30 years passed away. “That was 6 years ago and it has been a wonderful journey revolutionizing Beauty Education and now we are focused on raising the brand of the industry!” Recently, Lynch pioneered the Beauty Changes Lives program, an initiative to designed to raise awareness of how careers in the hair, beauty and wellness industry transform lives.”
