"This collection was inspired by the '60s, '70s and '80s pop culture," says Matthew Tyldesley who adds that it was also inspired by classic singers such as "Joan Jett, David Bowie and from the cutting styles of hair legend, Vidal Sassoon."

The collection also plays heavily on the primary colors red, blue and yellow. From the backdrop to the hair accent pieces and hard lines, the resulting mullets and bobs scream POP CULTURE.

Meetings were planned prior to the shoot with all parties and the shoot took a total of seven hours with proper planning and communication. "I have worked with the makeup artist, stylist and photographers for years and I enlisted them to execute the shoot," adds Tyldesley. "The hair was colored, cut and styled on each model using Redken styling products including Hardware Gel 16, Iron Shape 11, Fashion Works 12, Control Addict 28 and Shine Flash 2."
