Farouk Systems Shows a Lot of Heart

Farouk Systems Inc., a global hair care brand,  supported the Go Red! Movement on February 6, National Wear Red Day, with Farouk employees sporting red to highlight the importance of  helping women prevent, identify and beat heat disease and stroke. Farouk employees also called on their international artists to share their 'red alert' on social media to touch salon professionals and spread the word on this health threat. According to statistics, 1 in 3 women will die of heart disease and stroke.

Farouk Systems also contributed to Pink Goes Red for a Day!  On February 7th, this event was hosted by the Houston Metropolitan Area Chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Farouk Systems contributed product donations and door prizes for their Women Heart’s Red Bag of Courage which provides women with accurate information on various aspects of heart disease so they can make heart healthy decisions about diet, exercise, medical treatment and mental health.

MODERN and the industry mourns the loss of Gino Trunzo who died yesterday in Mexico of a heart attack. Trunzo made a name for himself in the nail world as both a manicurist and essie’s Assistant Vice President and was named assistant vice president of business development for Redken and Pureology earlier this year.
