For the Ines Di Santo Couture Fall 2017 Bridal Collection, Matt Swinney, L’ANZA Global Creative Director, created carefree, French girl looks with an elegant flourish. Hair was fresh and playful, highlighted with loose top-buns and soft wisps of hair flowing down around the face and nape of the neck.
“This season, Ines’ gowns were absolutely stunning,” said Swinney, “So fresh and youthful, with a mood reminiscent of the glories of Paris street life and visions of afternoons at the Patisserie. As I looked at the designs, I immediately thought of a young Audrey Hepburn today.”
Santo's Inspiration:
“For this collection, I imagined beautiful patisserie-polished wood floors and delicate cups of coffee still served with a saucer and gleaming glass cases. The wonder that comes over each of us when it is our turn to choose...
My glass case is filled with beautiful confections. You’ll find gowns with delicate vines and petite flowers. You’ll find some with just a touch of sweetness in their lace overlay. A sprinkling of gowns that are deceptively simple, much like a madeleine -where the beauty emerges quietly. You’ll find a little pinch of spice. You’ll see the confections that are selected only for the grand celebration-to be savored slowly surrounded by dear friends and family," says Santo.
More about the hair:
To make a modern statement, Swinney didn’t smooth the hair before styling but instead accented the natural texture of each model to keep the look very today and to celebrate the beauty of individuality.
To create each of the looks, Swinney and team used L'ANZA Color Illuminator Hair Brightening Spray. "It gave vibrance, dimension and intensity to the models hair color, and made the style appear even fresher and more youthful," says Swinney.
