"This color correction was a doozie," says Gina Bianca, @The_Hair_Doctor. "It took around 3.5 hours because there was so much going on. She comes to see me every 4-6 months and has out of control gray so we did two processes." Here Bianca shares the HOW TO:
Step 1: Touch up the regrowth with Paul Mitchell 6N and 8n+. "We went a little darker for her base because she wanted a new look and we usually keep her around a level 8 with highlights."
Step 2: Process for 35 minutes, shampoo and dry.
Step 3: Half highlight with three formulas:
(A) DPL 10 volume
(B) 5N+6G (equal parts) 10 volume
(C) 5RB 6G 7N (equal parts) 10 volume
Weave everything alternating the formulas, making every other the lightest shade: For example: A-B-A-C-A-B-A-C.
Step 4: In the front create two weaves and a slice around the hairline to keep the gray camouflaged for as long as possible.
Step 5: Process for 30 minutes, shampoo and condition.
For the cut: Face frame layers and long layers in the back. All the hair is overdirected throughout. Finish with Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi Hydro-cream Whip and Biosilk serum prior to a soft blow out.
