Look Sharp:  Out, out, damn spot.  Every hairdresser would like a handful of black Sharpies in their stocking to fill-in those random white spots on black clothes. It’s a career curse but one that is easily corrected.

Hit the Mat: Treat them right by gifting them with a floor mat from the Smart Step Salon and Spa Mat Collection.  Choose from sizes, designs, colors and shapes to protect your beloved hairdresser’s knees, ankles, back, hips…well, you get the idea.  These mats can be a body-saver.

Diet Aid: Your clients love you so they bring you sugar.  And carbs.  And things that pull out your fillings.  Delicious, yes, but good for you, not so much.  Pop a piece of gum to keep temptation at bay. Simply Gum Mint flavor is handcrafted from premium, all-natural ingredients and is vegan and gluten-free.

Shear Delight: Not a very sexy gift but oh-so necessary.  Every stylist needs a few pairs of scissors to have at hand so they’re never tempted to cut anything with their precious (and expensive) shears but hair.

Mirror, Mirror: Make sure your beauty pro knows that they are the fairest of them all.  Besame Cosmetics has created an enchanting collaboration with Disney, a Snow White collection of makeup and accessories to celebrate the 80th anniversary of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," all inspired by the original artwork and color palette of this iconic film. The Fairest Vanity Mirror is a Baroque-style, gold-plated hand-mirror with ruby-red enamel detailing.

Splitting hairs: It is a pain that only a hairdresser understands, that of a hair splinter.  Use this precise but pretty Tweezerman tweezer and 10x magnifying mirror to locate and remove the offending hair from your bra and elsewhere.

Jamie Newman | August 7, 2017

We love repping the whole beauty community, but we feel a certain obligation to make sure our Midwestern neighbors get their well-deserved limelight. After a friend visited this MODERN SALON 100's honoree's salon in St. Louis, we found Kristina Cheeseman on Instagram and were blown away--literally. Cheeseman showcases many of her color creations in wind-blown stills, and we'll never stop obsessing over them.
