Erin Oliwa (@hair_by_er) of Hands On Salon, Freehold, NJ, says her client is a natural level 6 and has not highlighted her hair in more than 3 months.
Here she shares how she used a full head of heavy, but fine weaved highlights to refresh her color:
Step 1: Highlight using Schwarzkopf Igora Vario Blonde Plus lightener with 20 volume for the back sections.
Step 2: For the top and sides, bump volume up to 30 volume. Process for 25 minutes, no heat.
Step 3: Tone with Matrix SPV with 10 volume with 1/4 of Olaplex for 10 minutes. Rinse.
Step 4: Finish with Step 2 of Olaplex.
