This new client, with medium, dense hair came to Alexz Pryse (@hairbyalexz) of House of Color, Colorado Springs, CO., for some help. Help she got!
Here, Pryse shares the details for this correction, which took 3 hours:
Step 1: Section the hair down the mohawk around her part line with 2 face frame sections. Apply Wella Blondor with 10V, blended with B3, through the previously processed ends, and 20V at the natural root, feathering to the scalp. Place babylights in these sections in back to back foils.
Step 2: Balayage in the back using Blondor and 20V with B3. Continue with this application on the hair between the babylights to brighten and eliminate the brassy tones.
Step 3: Tone with Redken Shades EQ 9P and 9V 2:1 throughout all the hair for a bright icy blonde and to eliminate any yellow tones. Root smudge with 7V and 8V 1:1. Process for 15 minutes. Rinse.
Step 4: Before drying apply Kenra Platinum Blow Dry Spray and Aquage Straightening Gel. Blow dry the hair.
Step 5: Once dry, apply Aquage Silkening Oil through the ends. Curl with a 1 1/4 inch Hot Tools iron. To finish, spray with Kenra Silkening Mist and Kenra Volume Spray 25.
