Color Correction Breakdown from @mermadihair
Madi Larson @mermadihair

Madi Larson @mermadihair said she loved doing this color correction (and her foil work makes us smile) so we wanted to share her formula. Based in Fort Collins, CO, Larson often puts the cost of her work as text across her images, something we're seeing more and more as stylists work to educate clients on what's needed to achieve their IG dreams.  This process took four-and-a-half hours and here's how she did it:

STEP ONE: "First, I used the Platinum Card technique with Paul Mitchell’s DPL + Olaplex.

"I started with 10 volume and worked up to 30 volume. Total foil application time was around 2 hours. I used small slices all the way around her head and processed for about 30 minutes (after placing last foil) until she was lighter than a level 10.

STEP TWO: "I neutralized her hair with Paul Mitchell toner 10V + Processing Liquid for 10 minutes to get it to an ashy base. To achieve the silver/gray tone, I used Paul Mitchell 10V + 10A + 10P for 20 minutes all over on towel dried hair. Once I rinsed the toner, I pulled Pulp Riot “Bubblegum Pink” diluted with conditioner, through some pieces on her ends. I used Matrix 8P on her roots and mids to darken them a little bit more. I let those two process about 20 minutes, then rinsed, did Olaplex #2, and styled! "
