At a recent photoshoot for the ECOCO "El Patron" line of styling products by Talyoni, LLC, at the Water Street Studio in NYC, artist Avian King was thrilled to work with model Phil, but wanted to remove the brass left over from a previous color. "I really don't want to change his shade," says King. "I just want to cancel the unwanted yellow." The process was a bit more challenging than expected (see step 5) as this brass was stubborn. Here King offers the HOW TO:

Step 1: Mix Malibu C Crystal Gel Color Remover in hot water.

Step 2: Apply from root to end in 1/4 inch sections.

Step 3: Cover with a plastic cap and apply heat with a blow dryer. Continue for about 15 minutes. Rinse and cleanse with El Patron Be The Boss Shampoo.

Step 4: Now blend a steel shade blended with conditioner: Pravana Vivids Silver with El Patron Conditioner.

Step 5: This can be processed at room temperature but in this case the hair was covered with a plastic cap and heat was applied. Check every 3 minutes to desired shade. This brass was quite stubborn and it took 15 minutes with heat. Shampoo with El Patron Be The Boss Shampoo.
