Kayla Le (@excellenthairsalon), a senior stylist at Excellent Hair Salon & Spa Inc, Fremont, California, has wowed us with this transformation on first time client Angela, who came to Le asking to be blonde. Here she shares how she delivered:
Starting level, seven months old balayage on a natural level 2.
Step 1: Pretreat the hair with Olaplex no.1 for 10 minutes.
Step 2: Carefully weave out the existing blonde hair and treat with Olaplex no.2.
Step 3: Babylight the rest. Place in foils and apply Joico Vero K-Pak Creme Lightener + 40 volume + Olaplex to zone 1and 2. On zone 3 apply Joico Creme Lightener + 10 volume developer.
Step 4: Process for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Rinse well and treat with Olaplex no. 2 for 10 minutes. Shampoo with Joico Color Balance purple shampoo. Towel dry.
Step 5: Tone the root with Redken Shades EQ 5n 2oz +2oz processing solution. Process for 10 minutes. Rinse well and towel dry.
Step 6: Apply Matrix ColorSync 8v 1oz + 10p 1oz to zone 2. Process for 15 minutes. Pull through zone 3 for 7 minutes. Rinse, shampoo with Joico purple shampoo. Treat with K-Pak RevitaLuxe treatment for 10 minutes. Rinse then style.
