Carly Brown (@carlybrown9) of March Hair, Plymouth UK, says, “My new client came to me with more bands than you’ll ever see. I knew this was going to be a HUGE challenge!” Brown points out that the bands resulted from old bleach, toners and semi-permanent color. “When I started the correction but I didn’t even know what would be achievable. We were just going to go with it and see what happened. Thankfully her hair surprised me and it did exactly what I wanted it to first time... YAY!”

Here Brown shares the details for the correction (Olaplex used in all color):

STEP 1: Babylight in “what felt like hundreds of foils” to make sure almost every strand was inside a foil. Each band was tackled differently using Wella Blondor with 6% on the darker banded areas and Wella Blondor with 1.9% on the lighter banded areas.

STEP 2: Procsss until lifted to pale yellow (in some cases more than one hour) and then rinse.

STEP 3: Tone at the bowl using Wella Illumina - 10/69 (30g) + 9/60 (10g) + 1.9%.

STEP 4: Shadow root using Wella Color Touch 7/0  + 7/1 + 1.9%.

"We were both over the moon with the results!"
